I have been working at Oscar full-time for less than a year

    Pros

No limits on earning potential! Aggressive and fruitful commission structure. Management, both at the mid level and senior level, allow for growing your market as YOU see fit, only stepping in to support the market growth with advice and productive training sessions. The freedom to travel to meet clients and attend various conferences across the US within your market. Strong corporate support from our centralized UK office. Management that knows the importance of a strong IT system to include the utilization of some of the best headhunting software tools on the market!

    Cons

If you are the type to need that constant oversight and pat on the back for KPI targets achieved, you won't find that here. Your success at Oscar is predicated upon your personal ability to grow within your market and take complete ownership of your client and candidate development.

I have been working at Oscar full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I joined Oscar about 5 months ago, and what a time it has been! My overall experience, the people I've worked with, & direct management have been nothing but exceptional. I had over 3 years of agency recruitment experience prior to joining Oscar, and since joining, I've had the perfect balance between overall support/ guidance & autonomy from my manager. Oscar leadership tailors their management style to best support each consultant based on their experience, learning styles, etc, versus a single blanket approach to all consultants, which creates a high-trust & high-performing environment. I joined Oscar to help start-up a new brand/ industry & have been given all of the tools & support needed to succeed- and more! At Oscar, I truly feel no one is just "a number" but rather, everyone's input is valued- allowing each of us to make a significant impact in the growth & overall strategy of the company. Oscar goes above & beyond for its employees- If you have the right attitude and work hard, your career growth potential is limitless. Outside of the general culture & leadership styles, Oscar provides their employees with industry-leading commission/ bonuses, databases, marketing, advertising, recruitment tools (Everyone gets a Linkedin Recruiter for example), frequent company socials, incentive trips, and more! One thing in particular that I noticed straight away was how Oscar plans their growth around their people. They make an effort to have a deep understanding of what your personal & professional aspirations are, and will work to ensure you can achieve these goals. If you're looking to work with a recruitment firm, Oscar is easily the best in the industry!

    Cons

You will not be micromanaged, managed through KPIs, or constantly checked in on to do your job. This was a huge pro for me personally, but for individuals who have trouble with self-motivation & pushing themselves to make things happen without being told, it could be a struggle.

I worked at Oscar full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Its exceptionally rare to find a company of this size with a CEO that genuinely cares about his staff & has time for everyone. Its extremely inspiring and you can feel the ripple effect it has throughout the cilture of the business, regardless of geographical location.

    Cons

No cons to this business, i would happily recommend to any level of Recruiter. This is not your typical "revolving door" like recruitment company.

I have been working at Oscar full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Oscar Group takes branding seriously, consistently invest in people and systems development, move heaven and earth to pull out any roadblocks to success, hire good humans first and foremost over just a track record in the industry which is conducive to a superb environment to work in. The leaders within Oscar Group are continuously striving to learn and keep on top of implementing innovative solutions to help us all provide an unrivalled level of service to our customers. The compensation and benefits are outstanding, and the commission structure is the best out there, which really rewards hard work and success. The trust and flexibility over working hours means that we are treated as adults, and this is a key factor towards my own happy work/life balance. Oscar Group is by far the best recruitment company I have ever worked for, and I appreciate their continued support in the development of mine, and my colleagues' careers.

    Cons

When I joined some three years ago, we were in a state of transition and learning how best to grow, so it took some time for decisions to be made, and for us to "find our way" as a business to consistency in success. I'm pleased to say that over the last 24 months, the business has been moving forward in a great direction, and we have increased our staff retention and revenues month after month. Not only this, but employee engagement within Oscar Group has gone through the roof, and this is genuinely a really happy environment to work in, alongside some truly great people.

I have been working at Oscar full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The best reason for working at Oscar is the renowned training programme that the Directors invest stacks of time into - coming into recruitment with no prior experience in sales I was fairly blind in terms of what to expect, however due to training with a message that 'anyone can do it' I can say that joining Oscar when starting a career in recruitment was the best decision! I am still a very junior consultant with only 10 months experience but during my short time have been promoted during a global pandemic and nationwide lockdown; during which time was also given the opportunity to continue working and upskill my abilities. If you're looking to get into recruitment and want the support and growth you need in order to make a long-term career out of it, I couldn't recommend Oscar enough.

    Cons

I couldn't fault a company that has supported my progression through perhaps the most testing times the economy has seen. I have seen the effects that this pandemic has had on the recruitment industry and so it really is a testament to the company that they continued to support my progression
