In my 10 years of practice I have worked with 2 other very large Dental Service Organizations. My 2 years experience as a PDS supported clinician have been extraordinary compared to the other 2 DSOs. Not only is PDS at the forefront with modern technology but it does an amazing job in supporting its doctors with ongoing continuing education to support that technology. I received over 70 hours of free CE in my first year with PDS and learned more in that time than I did in my first 8 years practicing. Today, thanks to the support I have received from PDS, I have become a very successful practice owner and a very well rounded clinician practicing in a state of the art facility where I am able to offer the best dentistry possible to each and every patient. One of my favorite things about PDS is the Pacific Dental Services Foundation. The foundation provides a platform for clinicians like me to give back in ways I could have never imagined. Last year I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Ethiopia for a week not only to treat patients in need but, also to teach Ethiopian dental students to become better clinicians. I would recommend a career with PDS to any one of my friends and family or to anyone looking for an exceptional career in the dental field.

Working for Pacific Dental Service has changed my life! I have been in the Dental Field for over 15 yrs and this is my last stop. The value and ethics behind the entire company and culture is phenomenal. I have been with this company for about four years now and work in a positive and supporting environment that has challenged my talents and skills in running a business. I have supportive peers such as the Regional Partner , Kevin Lawton, who is awesome at structuring, empowering and driving myself and my entire region to think outside the box grow such stellar and reputable Dental Practices. Kevin has encourage me to keep up with the Market in my community which now I feel as if I own it with all the wonderful relationships I have developed and reap the referrals! The opportunity for Advancement and personal growth is handed on a silver platter in the form of development plans ; and the rest is left up to the employee to take it. I can go on and on about he greatness of this company!

I am hopeful to find that there will be positions created like Assistant Management and Assistant to a Regional Manager to prepare internal advancement with detailed training and coaching for added success.

The best things about working for Pacific Dental Services would have to be the massive amount of support they offer to doctors locally as well as nationally. As a new dentist in Las Vegas I have been given the opportunity to learn from my owner doctor as well as other associates every day. I think it is important to share experiences, get feedback and compare treatment/treatment planning in a group setting. It allows for optimal patient care. My office is an extremely low pressure environment due to the fact that we all work together as a team in order to achieve what needs to be done efficiently. It is nice to have the latest technology available right in your office. I also appreciate the fact that PDS offers many CE opportunities at no cost to the doctor including Cerec training.

I have no complaints thus far, besides health benefits being subpar compared to other companies. It is still better than the health benefits offered in most private practice offices.

Having worked at multiple private practices and a variety of dental offices, I have to say that practicing dentistry at a Pacific Dental Services supported office has been the best decision of my career. It has been a fulfilling and rewarding experience ever since I first started at Imperial Dental Practice and Orthodontics. The amount of support that is given to the clinician is tremendous, allowing the dentist to focus on things that matter most-- providing excellent quality care to patients. In addition to the supportive working environment, compensation when compared to other offices that I have worked at is not only comparable but has been superior to many other opportunities. A particularly unique characteristic of PDS supported practices is that aspiring associate dentists have opportunities for potential partnerships which add additional depth to the practice of dentistry and career development. The dental office has and continues to be a great platform for success and a place of a fulfilling career.

Schedules have a busy flow. Hours can fluctuate, can work through lunch or stay late dependant upon flow.

I love my job with Pacific Dental Services (PDS). I became an owner of a pediatric office (My Kids Dentist) 3 years ago. I enjoy every part of the job, especially the people with whom I work. I owned a private practice for 11 years. It required wearing many hats (doctor, business owner, advertising expert, HR director, accountant, tax manager, IT repairman, etc.). With PDS I am able to focus on dentistry while giving those other hats to individuals who are expert in those fields. I also appreciate the extensive training given to my staff, and the ability to communicate and associate with fellow PDS dentists who are my colleagues and friends. From a business standpoint, the most enjoyable part of my day occurs at 5pm when I get to go home. I hang up my lab coat until the following day without worrying about a million non-clinical elements required to run a practice.

I have worked for Pacific Dental Services for over 5 years, first as an associate dentist and now as an owner doctor. Pacific Dental Services is a great partner helping me build a successful, technologically advanced practice with excellent business support. As a company they are constantly evolving and improving to make sure our practices are successful and our employees have opportunity to grow and thrive. Pacific goes beyond business support, they also constantly invest in helping dentists continue to learn and develop their skills. The company also has a great charitable component, we are encouraged to give back to our community and other causes through We Serve projects, it is wonderful to have a partner in our drive to help people in multiple ways.

I do not have any cons, not because there are not challenges but because when challenges arise I am supported by the company and my regional partner and management to make changes and improvements to address the challenges.

Pros

I love the comraderie that owners in my region have. We support each other and share with each other our success and failures. Learning from each other assists our owner dentists in being able to provide modern dental procedures with a great level of service. We also share with each other what helps our associate doctors quickly gain clinical and financial success. There success will help in my office's success and eventually lead to their future with the company as owner dentists. I love that I am able to run my office in a unique way that will differentiate my office from other Pacific Dental Service offices. On the other side, I enjoy the supported autonomy that allows me to focus on that type of development of my office.

Pacific Dental Services provides excellent practice opportunities for dentists motivated to succeed both clinically and financially. PDS offers a unique practice partnership opportunity where management services are provided throught a professional management organization, allowing dentists to focus on relationship building, clinical skill set development and building profitable dental practices. A primary opportunity is use of advanced technology and training in CAD/CAM dentistry using CEREC technology. In addition, collaboration with specialists in providing comprehensive treatment to patients in practices is also realized with specialty services being provided in each PDS supported practice as well. In summary, PDS creates a unique opportunity for general dentists by partnering with motivated individuals to create extremely successful dental practices.

Work week hours may include evenings and Saturdays. Core business processes sometimes hamper individual motivation and creativity, albeit a small price to pay for a partnership with PDS.
