    Cons

Its a very fast-paced company so its not for everyone

I worked at Palo Alto Networks full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good RSUs in the past with strong stock price. Market branding is still strong

    Cons

The APAC team is now a joke and one big staged show. Cloud security is the way to go forging forward, unfortunately the company made all the wrong hires in the APAC team from sales to presales. The cloud sales team is made up of ineffective sales people who do not have the right contacts, context and security experience to drive the market. They spend more time on LinkedIn and putting up shows which do not result in business results. To top it off, it doesn't help that the field sales core team is still focused on selling hardware firewalls. The region is simply wasting the market away. The APAC SE head for the cloud overlay team is the worst of all. Arrogant, full of idiosyncrasies that are so outdated, ineffective and lacks what it takes to succeed in this role - most of the time riding and harping that he has been around with the company for some time. He simply doesn't have what it takes to drive the business and is pulling the business back along with his outdated thinking. HR and sales management talk a lot on diversity, but once again these are just shows that are put on LinkedIn.

    Advice to Management

It's a fine line between diversity and feminism. Spend more time selling in the field rather than wasting time doing on non-revenue generating activities. We are all measured by revenue at the end of every quarter.

I have been working at Palo Alto Networks full-time

    Pros

Interesting experience interacting with front line clients to deliver products

    Cons

Remote team, so you'll feel isolated most of the times and sometime demand from the marketeers can be unreasonable.

    Advice to Management

Hiring multiple data science positions per region will be good.

I worked at Palo Alto Networks full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The company outside the team I was in is fantastic. Great vision and excellent benefits. Opportunity for growth if you are in the right place and have the right leadership.

    Cons

Inside Sales in Singapore is the worst department I have ever been a part of. I regularly had no work to do, and was often and always shut down when I tried to add value with new ideas. The team of csrs and bdrs adds absolutely no value to the business and does not create any revenue. They are merely appointment setters and admin specialists that are paid like sales professionals. The inside sales management is biased and does not like anyone that stands up and thinks differently. I have seen new employees bullied into leaving for thinking outside the square or being racially different. This could have been a world class team with world class talent, except not one single person in the history of the team over the past 5 years has been promoted outside of the team to date (2019). This shows a lack of career path and a complete lack of development. The managers themselves have not been developed by their own director and it shows through the lack of direction and change within the team.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of everyone apart from renewals as they carry a quota, and their team is happy under their management. Let them upsell and cross sell into their accounts.

    Pros

PANW is still one of the best place to work in despite the continuous massive growth pace. There are still good managers and colleagues within the organisation.

    Cons

too aggressive growing, ignoring employee’s feedback at times.

    Advice to Management

"Tech network company with indifferent work culture and unbalanced work life"

    StarStarStarStarStar

I worked at Palo Alto Networks

    Pros

great pantry & great team of engineers. salary wise is comparable with market outside. Stock options for employees athough not much and alot of red tape to redeem it.

    Cons

No work life balance. Be prepared, u have to come in, socialise and know how to play ur game well with mgmt, hr and upper ranks in order to move up. So much things happening and people are so excited to get things going, but nobody wants to pick the tab up for doing the monotonous stuff and long shift hours. Office Politics is rampant. Some ppl dunno what they are doing. Manager couldnt care less, choosing to focus on the words of senior staffs to critic your performance.

    Advice to Management

Work culture need to change. Managers need better education at criticising others performance by word of other senior staff. They really need to go 1 on 1 to know what is actually happening.

I worked at Palo Alto Networks full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - A rapidly expanding and lucrative market - Diverse team within Inside Sales - Pantry fully stocked with a wide range of snacks and drinks - Great location and modern office - Yearly sales kick-off being held internationally (Las Vegas, Toronto, etc.)

    Cons

    - Competitive to the point of ruthlessness - Upper management consist largely of narcissistic men or disingenuous individuals - Cliquish - Drinking culture (even during work hours) - Also, a hire and fire culture irregardless of one's performance; e.g. firing because you don't partake in drinking alcoholic beverages

    Advice to Management

    - Work on improving upper management; seek leaders that are genuinely invested in their teams. - Help to blur the lines of already strongly defined cliques - Ruthless employees are not always the best employees
