A complete mess of a company

Pros

- Being able to work remotely after COVID hit was a plus.

Cons

- major favoritism - the CEO is incredibly phony. She preaches culture, openness, and willingness to do everything to keep employees happy. This couldn't be further from the truth - the lockers themselves are poor quality. I would not recommend the product to anyone interested - the engineering team can't manage to update the software without breaking something else - the company is backed by a multi-million dollar parent company but still runs like a start up - little to no strategic thinking/planning/foresight - leadership is out of touch. Last year all employees completed an anonymous third party survey. One of the critiques was that there was a ton of favoritism. Lori, during an all hands meeting, said that she didn't believe there was favoritism and dismissed the comment. - I spoke with HR, leadership, and my direct manager about my frustrations on a handful of occasions but nothing changed.

Pros

Friendly people and culture overall. Benefits are fair but nothing great. Some opportunity to move up or into different jobs

Cons

Well, like the headline says, if you're desperate then, hey, go for it. You never know. But it's actually a lot of nepotism and backstabbing for a stressful job dealing with angry customers who aren't getting their deliveries. Also, it is getting such a a high rating because ALL of the 5 star ratings are bogus!! People see through it so just stop lying. There are NO perfect companies so just be real and don't make up reviews!

Pros

My current team is great.

Cons

I am new to Parcel Pending and I have to say, my initial introduction to the company was not a good one. The initial interview who I think was with their HR dept. was so bad that I almost turned away from this great company. Additionally, after I started what they call the "on boarding" was equally just as bad. The responsiveness throughout the interviewing was lacking. I also felt that whoever conducted my initial interview was complacent and didn't speak very highly of the company nor did they have any passion or excitement to share. Additionally, once I started, it was difficult to get much support through my initial first few days. When I reached out to my initial contact (who I think I interviewed with) they weren't much of a resource and I almost felt like I was bothering them. Definitely a very negative first impression and first week of this so called "Onboarding" was non-existent. Luckily, I stuck with the process as my current manager and team are great!
