Pros

Low barrier. Great for entry level experience. 50$ birthday gift card. Some coworkers are cool. Lot of demand for overtime; like pulling a straight 23 hour shift.

Cons

High expectations but limited to no resources. Raises are not good. Supervisors are inexperienced and too adolescent like the company. HR jokes about giving BJ's. Maybe that should fall under Pros instead of Cons. He wrote "downgrade benefits" in his office whiteboard but announced it was an upgrade during the town hall. Low ceiling. Rust in the GMP lab. Very primitive procedures leading to high exposure to dangerous chemicals; hence, the high number of accidents. In 2016 there was about a 30% turnover rate. 2017 about 20%. 2018... it's probably at least 10% in the first half of the year. Best of all, high favoritism. Example, a chem 1 was promoted for not knowing how to do his basic duties, just brown nosing. 2 individuals got caught backdating. One got fired while the other got to stay. An individual forged a qa supervisor's signature but was not reprimanded. This isn't a traditional pharma. It's more of a third world sweat shop factory.

Pros

Coworkers are great people to work with.

Cons

HR is useless, rude, deceitful, and incredibly manipulative. Production manager is selfish and does not think of anyone else except for himself (job security at the expense of pigeon holing very talented and hard working employees.) Quite literally the first job I’ve ever worked where everyone is miserable, looking for other jobs, or have their resignation letters already drafted and ready to go. Company morale is incredibly low, while turnover rate is the highest I’ve ever seen. The company is unable to retain talent, due to HR not budging on some employees requests (higher pay, better working conditions). HR is incredibly stingy and employees are very underpaid. There is no concrete pay scale, and employees are being paid a wide range (some hourly ranges differ by $5 for the same position). HR will attempt to silence you if you try to bring up these discrepancies, and frown upon employees talking to each other about pay. Overall the worst experience with HR I have ever had at a company. Most people don’t make it past a year and a half, due to the toxic work environment.

Pros

Provides decent experience for those fresh out of college. Learn to work with many different people, and adapt to changing environments

Cons

No opportunity for growth. Employees who are friends with management are often favored over more worthy candidates. Pigeon-holed into the same projects over and over. This makes it very hard to learn new things and flourish within the department. Management sets unrealistic expectations, and consistently fails to back their employees. Human Resources is not there for the employee, they are there for the company. 401(k) package is a joke (7.5% match, but $0.50 to the dollar, and it takes 4-5 years before you are 100% vested). Vacation time is frequently pushed back and met with resistance, even when requested months in advance. Continuous improvement projects are often started, but never finished.
