    I worked at Prosper.com full-time

    Pros

    * Entry-level positions allow promotion to other departments ( e.g. customer service, specialist or customer escalation team, outbound sales, investors, fraud team or verification loan agent ). * Bonuses * Excellent Paid Maternity Leave * Medical & Dental Benefits. * Employee Stock Option Purchase ( ESOP )

    Cons

    * Outsourcing of Job duties causes misinformation between Primary work office and 3rd party sources -- which affects customer service reliability.

    Pros

Company is truly focused on benefitting its customers. Great way to transition from working at a bank or specialty finance company into something a bit further on the Tech spectrum of FinTech Overall the people are good people to work with

    Cons

The technology is dated and at this point Prosper is FINtech rather than finTECH. As a US Specialty Finance company the eventual success of the business model is closely linked to the US Capital Markets and many companies with this business model can experience large disruptions in liquidity that hurt their ability to generate enough money to stay alive.

I have been working at Prosper.com full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Very good executives, move quickly, and customer driven

    Cons

Be careful if you are a conservative, it is perfectly acceptable to bash conservatives in group slacks. Best advice is to stay quiet if you are a conservative and hope people don’t find out. Makes for a very uncomfortable work place especially since some of the people bashing are Director level and on the people and places team.

    Negative Outlook
    No Opinion of CEO

I worked at Prosper.com full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The benefits such as the insurance and the free snacks and drinks

    Cons

Quality assurance, the poor management, and the hr team who picks and chooses who they help based on preference and race. I quit because I was lied to and back stabbed by the hr team.

I have been working at Prosper.com full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good values and work culture. Lots of recession proofing over last few years means company will be stronger after COVID-19 recession. Generally starting to focus on quality over speed as there is a reasonable amount of tech debt that needs to be reclaimed. CEO & CFO has been very engaged and communicating well during COVID. Expecting full salary to be returned in next 6 months (much needed).

    Cons

COVID-19 pay cuts (currently 15% and no 401k match). A few too many middle managers. Annual bonus should be every 6 monthly.
