Pros

- free tickets to Brewster owned attractions -living in banff -meeting co-workers. The companies biggest asset. NOT management. - IF upper management likes you, there's room for growth as most people leave because the company is cheap.

Cons

-Low level management makes promises they can't keep, because upper level management is cheap. -below market value wage. -could get fired by Ghada Wirth at any point(literally) working at the Banff Gondola. -Tries to run a world class restaurant while paying the manager $32,000. - Upper management doesn't speak to front line staff at the banff gondola. Not even a simple hello. -Very political working environment. Management plays favorites hardcore. - Management would rather spend 1K on decorations than give staff the wages they deserve. - Cannot negotiate whatsoever. - Staff accommodation is nice; but they treat you like children (weekly inspections (and they nit-pick), forms to fill out if you have guests, make up rules on the fly (no BBQ, wasn't in the lease), couples cannot live together)) -they manage using fear. - do not stick up for staff when customers are rude.

Good for the short term, but not the long.

Pros

Some really fantastic co-workers and people work for Brewster. Some nice perks for seasonal employees. Hard work can get you promoted in a hurry.

Cons

Long working hours for average pay and substandard benefits. Poor work/life balance during busy season. Most lower end/seasonal employees have a second job to make ends meet. Some positions are massively overworked.

Pros

Unique location? Possibility of meeting interesting people.

Cons

I’ve been in the restaurant industry since I was 15, and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Terrible management, besides my direct supervisor, from the top down. No effort put into hiring staff, no one seemed to be in appropriate positions. No value of employees, had 1 meeting in 5 months only after an employees property was stolen. We were underpaid, understaffed, and overworked. Food for employees, as well as guests was sub par, all frozen and salty. No one besides some low ranking employees seemed to worry if the guests were having a good experience, which I value, no one likes serving unhappy people. We were in a remote are, which I knew going into the job, but 6 hours to get away from where you work and to where people treat you like an equal instead of of just an employee gets very old very fast. Total boys club, never worked somewhere so sexist, and that’s coming from a man. There’s more but I already feel like I’ve written a novel, in summation I would avoid this company at all cost, don’t help support this very greedy company that wants to squeeze every dollar out of you and the guest up until the last second.
