Pros

if u want to leave ur previous company for good reasons then come here. They have many buildings on MIDC road. It's Indian company. First of it's kind company having many old age employees.

Where to start ..... flexi timing is a big joke. it is like u can enter in company between 9am-10am only :D there is late-in concept if u r late after 10am thats late-in. Annual 30 late-ins will affect ur performance appraisal :DDDD if u enter office after 11am, boy then by default it's half day. Better go home after statying 4.30 hours. If you join office before 9am. It's a void time, means can not be counted in working hours. Working hours will be counted only after 9am. And u can not leave office before 6pm. If you do, then my friends again its half day. Forget whatever time u served thr, it's half day. HR is pathetic. They give u fake smile sometimes but very rude attitue, when u approach them for work. Finanace/HR/... team very busy doing paperwork, counting late-ins, your half days after 11am .... If u wanna meet them, strictly after 2.30pm, and better be before 5.30pm else come next day. It's a government culture sorry I think gov. is improving on this but Rolta going back. House keeping staff is very egoistic. EGO is the common quality possessed by every old rolta employee. Rolta is good for Managers, not for other employees. Recently Rolta day happened. VIP people had separate dinner and normal employees other(low cost). The day I joined here, thinking of leaving Rolta every day. CMD gets very special treatment like celebraty. Roads/desks cleared before he arrives in premises. They can call u no..no they can force u to come on weekends,holidays and scrap ur compoffs saying u can claim it before 2 months. They have manual process for it, u have to go to each VIP manager cabin to get it approved. And if the compoff form in the box is lost, then forget ur compoff. Roof is weak in RTC, leaks during rainy season. They do not care for employee engagement. VIP people get cabin rest people have low level. There is no employee friendly culture. It's management friendly. It is difficult to stop, but I am exhausted now.

Pros

Nothing as such. Only exterior is good and nothing else. If you want to excel in Rolta then there is a simple funda:- Sing praise of Egomaniac CEO, keep on wagging your tail like pet dog in front of seniors and finally buttering your seniors! I have seen people who get promoted in Rolta just bcoz they do buttering well and they don't even have an iota of knowledge about the work they do.

I really curse the day when i thought of joining Rolta. I can write a book on this. However some key points are:- 1. This is not a company. Employees are slaves and nothing else. 2. No Overtime, No Pickup Drop and No complimentary meals or reimbursements if working late hours. 3. In my department the Divisional Director was fired on 1 fine day and the reason given was FAT SHREDDING (which is a sophisticated euphemism for being TERMINATED). So if there is no job security for the person who is Divisional Director, then we all are on a sinking ship called Rolta! 4. There are 2 types of food being made in Rolta Canteen. Better quality for people having designation of Director or above and pathetic quality for others. Even if you are in a meeting with CEO and there is provision for snacks......You will be made to have pathetic quality snacks if u r not a Director. This is widely evident on 14th Nov every year (it is that self proclaimed god CEO's birthday) where in employees and their families are served food based of the employees designation......which is so insulting! 5. Rolta as 10 days fixed holidays(and NO Floating Holiday) in a year and all holidays are during Hindu festivals. So employees of other caste must take forced leave during their respective festivals. This particular thing should be banned by Rolta because Indian Constitution does not discriminate on the basis of person's caste, religion or creed. Every Rolta employee should have the right to utilize his/her leaves as per their choice. 5. Some of the stupid rules of Rolta:- 1# Security Guards are ordered to completely obstruct the road outside Rolta when CEO is coming or leaving the office. This creates traffic during peak hours. 2# No Rolta Employee should be seen outside when CEO is coming or leaving the office. 3# There is a temple inside Rolta premises and the Temple preists are instructed to start bhajan when CEO enters the office. So basically if Pooja Bhajan starts then it is an indication that CEO has arrived. 4# The lifts are blocked by security guards for the CEO upto 30 minutes prior of CEO's arrival. Other employees are forced to use stairs.
