Pros

- Great Health Benefits with on site clinic - Phenomenal work/life balance - Company truly cares about employees - during the hurricanes, they gave out cases of water, they opened their warehouses as shelters for employees and their families, they give out turkeys every year for Thanksgiving - Any technology you need to do your job is always available - Fun culture, a lot of events and the wellness department puts together a lot of activities - Often times people are promoted to other departments from within - Emphasis on training and certifications in some departments for continuing education

Cons

- There are some people in management who got there by being good at what they did but they make horrible managers - these people need to be transitioned back into roles that they are well suited for - The restaurant selection near by is awful - Lack of vacation days - only 10 per year for the first 10 years - though a lot of managers help make this work by being flexible - Like with many companies employees who are promoted from within to fill roles are not compensated as well as an external candidate might be

Pros

• Health Benefits are amazing • The people here are great • Experience in corporate office depends on team placement: 3.5 yrs working in the merchandising department where I was very happy. Manager was great. Anytime I was interested in getting involved in a new part of the company he was super supportive and made it happen. When I was promoted to another department it was all downhill from there.

Cons

• Vacation is horrible- 10 days until you reach 10 yrs. with the company. • Below industry standard pay • When promoted to a new team, my "big raise" that was promised was a title change and a very small financial increase. • NO flexibility in working remotely • "Boy'sClub" mentality • Digital marketing department - Management with no design background leading designers with a micro-managing style that is suffocating. Management talks trash about advertising department. No creative freedom available, they would find ads they liked and then have us duplicate them. No clear direction which resulted in an enormous workload. A development plan was created for me in which I had no say, and I was punished when I spoke up. Department leaders created a toxic environment, consistently making offensive comments about women, race, and politics.

Pros

More competent management than in similar industries. Competitive pay. Relaxed environment. They seem to care about their employees.

Cons

If you can’t handle physical labor RTG is not for you. Nearly every job is physically demanding.
