Pros

-Good location for Midlands standards. -Relatively nice offices. -Some interesting projects but small scale.

Cons

- This place is like being in a minefield. Too many politics that you can sense but not directly prove. - "Old boys club" mentality in management and promotions which creates a rather toxic environment.

Pros

- People are generally friendly and approachable - Good location - Small teams, so lots of exposure to a variety of projects and tasks - Selection of interesting out of hours activities - Competitive salary (personally) - Attempts by some management to drive positive change

Cons

- Most of the vehicle development done in China. Almost no scope to make positive change to the product. - A majority of the UK senior management have been there since the company was formed in 2005, or for 10+ years - Very poor engineering practices and processes: short sighted and illogical - A fair few managers are inexperienced in the areas that they manage - A few people I've spoken to (and including myself) feel they were misled in their interview - Ridiculous 'Technical Grading' scheme, which is unavailable to new starters irrespective of their experience and skill set - Difficult to form relationships with Chinese engineers as there is very little travel to Shanghai, this makes communication extremely difficult (won't respond to emails etc.) if you're relatively new to the company/don't hold a senior position - Work feels superfluous and seems to add little value. - I receive inconsistent guidance and often have very little work to do, my time here has had a negative effect on my self esteem and mental health as a result. - Struggling to justify my position
