Lower than industry pay. Culture has changed in the last couple of years negatively impacting staff. Bullying and toxic environment by those in management. Seeing a lot of good colleagues leave as a result as there is very little reward for the level of work demanded. Sadly reaching out for help under the official routes has gone unnoticed and has impacted the mental health of me and my colleagues across various teams. Covid put some pressure on as it did with everyone but progressively the motivation has sunk for me and many others due to the senior managers taking out their frustrations out on us which is simply unfair where its one rule for managers and completely different for its workers doing the 'doing' work.

Salaries can be a bit on the low side but other benefits make up for it (inc life cover, critical illness, income protection, enhanced paternity leave/pay, birthday vouchers, long service awards, vouchers for new babies and weddings)

The people are the best thing about working here. Working alongside some great colleagues. Really good at investing in their staff with training and development. Loads of support for line managers from HR and senior management. Great culture and atmosphere plus brand new offices!!

Some of the people - you remove them (as you have) and the business is nothing. Unfortunately there are too many cons, you need to understand how it is.

Condescending and belittling managers and senior management, constantly pulling rank. An ongoing bullying culture within the business, many staff are unhappy yet scared to voice concerns as they will immediately be seen as a problem and dismissed. Voice your concerns to HR, they will dismiss your concerns and immediately side with the managers, no matter how wrong. All staff are overworked for below silly below average pay, management will squeeze all energy out of your role to the point you have no personal life. The effort to protect the wellbeing of staff is comedic, the business let go over 100 staff in 2020 under redundancy as a cover to let go of the people they disliked the most, excluding me having left on my own terms. You can do miles better than work here. If you join you will be fed promises of career development etc , I have had none of this and similar alike with peers, they emphasise on training opportunities being available and block all routes to them at the same time due to resource issues. You can change the name, but you can’t change the culture. Changing the name has not made you become any more modernised at all. High staff turnover and weak retention is a major feature for this business.
