RecommendsNeutral OutlookI have been working at Singapore Institute of Management Pte full-time
Pros
Inclusive culture, learning environment. Constantly push for employees to upgrade their skills (sponsored by company). Acknowledges individual's strength and capability. Allow expression of individuality and creativity. Nice working environment (depending on department). There's a makan (food) chat group in SIM.
Cons
Lack of opportunities for socialisation with different department (you may be e-mailing the person every other day without knowing who they are in person). Basic salary (need higher payout). Having to head back to work during phase 2 of COVID-19 despite knowing that most of the work (except for paper filing) can be done online. Staff should head back only when necessary instead of sticking to the 2.5 days allowance. Office spaces should be minimised after knowing that most work can still operate from home. This can cut down on a lot of cost on constructing and re-constructing physical office or spaces.
