I worked at SmartRecruiters full-time for more than a year

    Pros

People on the team are great. Company provides a great product.

    Cons

Notice how all the good reviews are from people with short tenure. It takes a while to find out how little management actually cares about their employees (with few exceptions of course). There is 0 transparency from the top down and employees are punished for not dedicating their life to the company. People have been "let go" on the spot for announcing a 2 week notice (which is a courtesy from the employee I might add). That should speak volumes. Senior management is openly hostile and display their inexperience at every challenge. They tout a great culture, but that's more a product of the teams and definitely not coming from the top down.

"I have been working at SmartRecruiters full-time"

I have been working at SmartRecruiters full-time

    Pros

Salary is OK if you know how to negotiate. Coworkers are friendly and smart, but many are there only because they need a job. Free lunch Mo Wed Fri. 401k.

    Cons

Incredible turnover, probably 50-75% within a year. Poor Management in some teams - managers act like managers, not like leaders. CEO and COO often treat you like a nobody. Lots of management via email and negativity from senior management. No growth opportunities. It doesn't matter how good you are, if you're not a favorite you don't excel.

I worked at SmartRecruiters full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Mostly great group of people. Everyone's insanely smart. - Location is central. - Free lunch MWF

    Cons

    - Value a culture of motivation by fear. Environment of second-guessers. - Lack of investment from senior management. Started as an intern when there were 10 people in the room and stayed for 2 years never once receiving feedback, advice, or encouragement from the CEO. - No structure, senior management is constantly changing their minds. - Low pay, lame benefits. - You'll regularly find employees crying or on the verge of a panic attack from stress. - Known bullies in the office, no one does anything about it.

    SmartRecruiters Response

We are disheartened that this was your experience here. We have taken this feedback to heart and put in much more focused individual success plans and metrics, brought in a new wave of management that values their talent and highly, selected best in the industry benefits and compensation, and ensured there are clear policies around personal conduct - "bullying" is never to be tolerated.
