Hiring process is very slow, most candidates will be offered a job weeks/months after applying & have usually moved on to other opportunities by the time the head of HR gets around to reaching out. And when they finally bother to the wages they're offering aren't competitive at all with other banks this size. HR head is very out of touch, very rude, generally brings morale down whenever they are around. Dealing with them is a nightmare. Knowingly forced sick individuals during the pandemic to come back to work before their quarantine periods were up or threatened no call no show write-ups & terminations if they didn't come back. Management leaves a lot to be desired. Have witnessed minor things be blown way out of proportion; for one employee they would get disciplined severely but the same issue with another employee that is "friends" with management gets a pass. Examples: force balancing, dress code enforcement, errors during transactions, tardiness, customer service/soft skills... the list goes on. Operations manager comes off as blunt and rude. Also mocks customers and even other employees behind their backs to others. Witnessed on several occasions by many not just me. A lot of the people here will pretend to be friendly with you but use anything and everything they can against you or to make themselves look better; they won't hesitate to step over you to climb just a little higher... but that's everywhere. If the Operations Manager didn't participate in this behavior themselves and didn't tolerate it then it would be a very different environment to work in, much more positive.

Sr Management in Ohio leaves a lot to be desired, especially HR. The head of HR is not an advocate for employees, does not like change and is allergic to technology. The pay is not competitive at all, and most low level employees in Attica are miserable, and feel as though they are being watched 24/7.
