I have been working at Swisscom full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Market leader in telecommunications and leading ict provider. Great working conditions (work smart program), very flexible. Swisscom Security is probably leading Security organization in Switzerland and farther.

    Cons

Revenues in core business are sinking, no clear strategy for growth areas. Not very visionary. Lacking leadership in certain areas.

I have been working at Swisscom full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - Home Office and Flexibility - Course and Training - Few good niches market/products/team - Global package is correct - Work everywhere in Switzerland. Easy to find an office.

    Cons

    - Infrastructure and Complexity of a big company (slow, hard to find the right person) - Strange but true... Cultural problems (Bern/Zurich vs the others). German part is very important - Bad workloads repartition & a lot of inefficient costs - Too big, too much management level and "coordinators"

I worked at Swisscom full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Competetive salaries, excellent fringe benefits - a Swiss company that has recently merged to become the largest IT employer in not only Switzerland but also in central Europe. Swisscom is an excellent employer, with many opportunities for employees that know how to make the most of their skill set. They encourage you and take care of their employees.

    Cons

lower management is pretty much hit and miss - the manager I had was a huge narcissist and a pain to work with. But not to worry - he's gone now...

    I worked at Swisscom full-time

    Pros

The place is very dynamic and open-minded. I had good time. They hire a lot of people during the hire, so it's a good place to start, and is very renowned in switzerland.

    Cons

They are very strict about puntuality, using cellphones and internet during the work shift, and personal performance. It's easy to be fired if you don't do your work.

I have been working at Swisscom full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

High variety of Jobs - admin, economics, Marketing, IT, Network, operations etc etc. Very old Company (came out of former postal Services in Switzerland) - historically grown mind set and way of thinking - not always but often enough. Leader in human centric design product devolopment, Innovation design - large freedom for creativitiy. Lots of efforts to offer good work-life-balance

    Cons

highly political - decisions not made because of good Evaluation but because Boss decides that THIS is a good idea. Upper Management lacks academic Formation - decision sometimes made on "Stammtisch" Niveau.
