Pros

Televerde does meaningful work. We are helping incarcerated women develop job skills and be in a better position to get jobs. Really good heart here.

Cons

Company lost its founder/CEO last year. New CEO is still getting her feet underneath her as this is her first CEO gig. As such, she's not learning from past mistakes or retaining people with important legacy knowledge. The company is going through a phenomenal amount of change, making meaningful budgetary cut-backs, and losing key customers. Priorities and focus is rapidly shifting with weak communication from the execs on rationale and strategy.

Pros

The ability for inmates to learn new skills and grow into corporate careers.

Cons

The 95% of the executive management team and their support has turned over. The company is professing to be a marketing and technology company and yet dismantled both the technology and marketing departments. Obviously they will build and grow and there is opportunity for new people but too many changes too quickly doesn't bode well for profitability or client success.

Pros

Some of the employees are good people just stuck in a bad environment.

Cons

Everything. Terrible politics. Prison mentality and mind-frame. Judgements, they pride themseleves on helping woman inmates although they cut pay, have terrible insurance that only takes money but does not cover anything. All the employees are using drugs but they pick and choose whom they favor. They "offer help" which is bogus as they don't provide any resources to actually get the help you need when your struggling financially as they are the ones that cut the checks. Awful fake and only for show environment.
