I worked at Temasek Polytechnic for less than a year

    Pros

I think the working environment is good, awesome colleagues. Overall, a pleasant working environment. I would recommend people to work there.

    Cons

There are many overtime work. There is no overtime pay for it. Quite a number of office politics. If you are looking for a job that pays from 9-5, this is not the place to work in.

    I worked at Temasek Polytechnic

    Pros

Stable and comfortable for most people Nice campus, working environment - just next to the scenic Bedok Reservoir Predictable workload - given almost everything runs based on the yearly academic calendar Work-Life Balance (depends on who your boss is, and which department you work in)

    Cons

Very centralized decision making, usually based on the Principal. I believe the new Principal has a more autonomous approach so things could be better now (since mid 2016). Unexciting - tends to take the "safe" or "proven" route (follow what we did before-approach) "Do-things-right" over the "Do-the-right-thing" culture Progression and promotions are non-existent for most, and slow for others (even the hi-po talent takes forever to get to something like Section Head or Manager)
