Good work life balance . 5 days work week
Cons
Need to be in the main com favourite book to be considered for vertical promotion . Near Zero team work . infighting between department .
- Former Employee, more than 5 years★★★★★
Pros
Relaxed, work-life balance Not quite process oriented and lacks standards, a mess really but flexibility to define what you want to do Great if you speak French or are willing to learn the language- otherwise very few other professional skills really matter in progression within the organization Employer of choice in France and perhaps Africa
Cons
Not all, but generally, stuck up French management and expats No flexi work arrangement eg telecommuting for Asia entities Cronyism is rampant - Too many redundant roles with poorly defined job-scopes created by senior managers to promote favored underlings Pays lip service to safety and compliance. Trying to improve but big rift still exists between stated mission and actual practices - most within the organization do not recognize the associated impact to cost and profits $ and resources spent on innovation is down the drain - organization has no idea what the targets are "Cheap" second-tier cost-conscious oil company image projected in Asia(except India)

Uninspiring when you see the "successful" ones
3 Nov 2016 - Anonymous Employee in SingaporeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great work life balance (will be able to take vacation when you want because the French respect your private life) Generally friendly and polite environment especially in the Marketing and Services department. Willingness to let you try new job functions
Cons
Uninspiring when you observe that the expats who succeed are generally those who are good at maintaining good relationships but have no real competence. Overall lack of ambition due to the people staying in the company being those who are settled and comfortable in their status and positions.

Management was supportive and open to suggestions. Colleagues were fun and worked together closely.

Good teamwork, communication and work life balance. Good training provided for new employees to familiarise with systems and procedures etc
Cons
Must be fast in reacting to changes. Management can share more of their views and future direction. Employees satisfaction can be improved.
