Pros

The company values entrepreneurship, and encourages independent thinking.

Cons

Now being part of the Essilor Lux group, can feel like a very small part of a very big machine at times.

Pros

Just purchased by Essilor and buying my time interviewing while awaiting my severance package if I stay that long

Cons

No direction since acquisition. Former leaders left or were let go. Now, still poor leadership by a new guy with operations background in supply chain. The acting temporary General Manager of No America falls asleep in meetings and has no knowledge of the business except a focus on profit and rapidly increasing business to pay off the high cost ( over payment) of purchasing Transitions. It's a totally different culture and very depressing. This is coming from a director level employee so hopefully this holds some validity. Understand the former employee's severance packages were horrible compared to corporate standards of other professional companies. Morale is horrible and it's due to impending doom that new owner Essilor will soon clean house again. Essilor has less than desirable reviews from existing employees so there's no hope there.
