The evaluation system was not fair and was far from accurate. Also the paid tasks became a rare occasion at some point onwards.

You decide when to work and how long for; The work interface has improved dramatically since the redesign.

It feels like working in a void. FAQ pages end in 404s, support doesn't reply or when it does is for a question I asked months ago, even their Evaluations system is running behind (at present, my most recently evaluated task is from two months ago. Before that, it was from August).

Pros
As a freelance translator/editor you can work from anywhere you want and accept work anytime you are available. The higher ratings you receive, the more work you will get. You have the opportunity to become a senior editor, and as such get more work and get paid more.
Cons
There is a lot of competition on the site. Unless there is big project, most translations are done in your language combination by the time you access the site. Also the fact that you are timed on how quick or slow you translate influences the hourly rate you are paid. Can be quite challenging when you are dealing with more specific themed translations that may require some research, as you want to keep up the quality work, but not get paid less for it.
