Frequent change of top management

Pros

1. Great career growth when you are in the right department with the right leader. 2. Geographical exposure, plus point for people who love to travel. 3. Able to travel up to 75% despite of tight financial management, as long as departmental budget available. 4. Minimal to no supervision while traveling, as long as you have a supportive line manager. 5. Full reimbursement on travel expenses as long as you know the limits, basically you can enjoy fine dining with wine while travelling. Provided you have a supportive line manager.

Cons

1. Frequent change of top management. New CEO bring in Divisional CEOs (Power and Data each) and their management team, then start hiring their friends from various industries but not relevant to current business (customer base/contacts had to build from zero). New hire require longer time to pick up and contribute to the business, usually 6 months and above. 2. Office politics - top management has their inner group members that no one could join in, unless you are their Yes man or their pet. You are not trusted when you are not within their group. 3. Low to no job security - Asking high performer to leave the company. 4. Low morale most of the time - even new hire leave the company within 6 months. 5. Lost track of market price in hiring and placement - Paying lower than market price to loyal employees, new hire was paid at sky high price. 6. Low to no recognition - some employees work hard and spent more hours to make sure operations run well and able to deliver quality service and product to customers, but all the hard work wasn't recognized but still earning lower than market price. But those does nothing or minimal work earns big bucks. 7. Poor internal communication - you will never know what happen until it hits you. 8. Outdated employee benefit - HR policy and employee benefit was back dated to year 2000 while some of the countries was a manufacturing plant 15 years ago but it is an Asia HQ in Singapore now. Managers and fresh graduates having the same level of annual leave entitlement as an example. 9. Everyone has been overworked, devoted most of their time and energy but not being recognized by Management. 10. No loyalty needed - employees has been with company more than 20 years but their loyalty wasn't recognized or appreciated, not even any long service award. Management can ask you to go anytime. 11. Management tend to always get around with the Standard Procedures and Policies - trying to go against the standards and policies by using their rank power and relationship, while the rest of the employees had to remain silent.

Pros

Above average pay and this may be all.

Cons

Highly uncertain environment. Changing of minds and twisting of words are daily business in order to avoid work. Pretty and sexy ladies can promote faster. Japanese and Caucasians are well liked and boot-licked.
