Pros

Friendly people, eat club, trips to Boston

Cons

Where do I begin.. General lack of understanding of what it takes to run a company. Standoff-ish execs, especially ones who have negligible functional experience (product, to name a few). Sinking ship, totally facilitated by the ceo. Toxic work environment. The co CEO in Boston too busy reminiscing about his past $4B venture and martial arts.

Pros

Some companies don’t have any. Wiser is a fantastic example of one that truly should just go out of what little business they have.

Cons

Losing customers and employees every day. Funded by CEO exclusively. Probably uses the company loss as a tax write off. Comes of as the nicest person but is truly evil.

My name is Andy Ballard, the CEO at Wiser. First, I want you and others to know that I really appreciate and value honest, open feedback, it’s one of the things we try to instill in the Company as a cultural value. Second, I’m disappointed to hear so much frustration and concern come through in your experiences at Wiser. In particular, given how inaccurate some of your facts are, we obviously have work to do towards improved transparency and how we communicate things to our team to ensure people really understand what's behind these topics. There’s are a few things that I feel are necessary to use some data and facts to clarify: • Funding: I’m delighted to be a large shareholder of our Company, and in fact have the good fortune to be able to fund the growth and development of the business along with other committed long term investors. However, my involvement represents less than 50% of the capital invested in our business, the rest is from outside third party independent investors. • Customer profile: while we do lose customers as part of business, your phrasing doesn’t reference actual data. As an example, our net retention in January was over 100%. We are a team and I personally am committed to constant improvement, that’s how we will build our business and candidly, hire, retain, and develop the best people who are engaged and enthusiastic about what we want to do for our customers. I’ve taken your feedback seriously, despite the inaccurate fact base upon which it is written. I wish you the best of luck in your next endeavor and hope you have a wonderful next step in your career. If you’d like to discuss any of your feedback further, please feel free to reach me on my Wiser email. Best, Andy
