Does KPMG drug test?
Anybody else have a harder time getting a job after leaving McKinsey than before you joined? Exited the firm over a year and a half ago and I have not been able to secure an offer ANYWHERE, despite having many interviews.
Do you find that your team members in India take more sick days than US? On my team in the US, we work from home if we get a cold but are generally still able to work. Being too sick to work happens to each of our US team maybe 1-3 times a year. My team in India takes 1-2 sick days per month. Are they actually too sick to work and that level of illness is more common? Or is there a cultural difference that you don't work if not feeling well?
How do you respond when at Partner starts yelling at you/your team? How do you respond?
My patience for this job is waning… I’m 35, single, no debt - Made some decent investments last year in some AI chip stocks and now they’re coming to roost.. my brokerage account is now more than my 401k. I feel like my life is 90% work and 10% everything else. I wonder if I should take some extended time off (6mo-1yr) as I would love to actually have space for things during the week again and explore / grow in other areas of my life. Is it time?
How much better did your WLB get after leaving consulting? I’m moving to an internal strategy role at a client. Financial Services - Banking. In consulting - standard day was closing my laptop between 9pm - 10pm and eating dinner at my desk. I’m expecting industry to be better, but not that much. Maybe closing my laptop between 6pm - 7pm? I haven’t been able to ask anyone in the bank what it’s like, as this is a new team. I’m benchmarking on other client strategy offices.
No but I’ve been on certain projects (Financial Services) where the client has required it
Direct employer doesn't but a client may ask for it when starting a project especially financial services... The irony...
Multiple clients drug test. Even outside of FS. Your life is better without that crap, avoid it.
Some people use it for medicinal purposes, so it's kind of BS to say that. Do you drink? Multitudes worse
Honestly it depends on the client - I’ve worked for financial services and Pharma and none of them have asked me to. If they say you need to drug test, tell your management that you take prescriptions and will fail. Easy peasy
Ok, i just wanted to know. I have a follow up call from my phone interview and just wanted to know what to expect. Hoping i get the position. I’d be coming in as an associate, financial management
Does anyone know the process of hiring? Amen any good signs i should look out for?
Don’t drink Smoke every now and then but again pwc doesn’t and my current clients don’t test
