Does Gartner drug test? 👀

Am I wrong for judging coworkers who look unkempt on Zoom? I notice a massive double standard with hybrid colleagues. When they're in the office, they look sharp and professional. On WFH days, they join video calls looking like they just rolled out of bed. If you wouldn't show up to the office ungroomed, why is it okay on camera? Where do you draw the line?
After 20 years in sales, I've started a new job in a low-stress role. I should be relieved, but I also have serious personal stress that has triggered massive burnout. I’ve always been good at this, but right now I am mentally checked out. I don't want to lose this job, but I also don't feel like working anymore. If you were me, would you take a short sabbatical or try to find something outside of sales?
Recently I had a project fully approved only for a new stakeholder to step in who hasn't seen anything but has the final say. It’s frustrating to have to explain the whole process again just to keep the work moving forward. How do you handle it when a powerful new person shows up late?Do you start over for them or just give a quick summary?
Where is everyone finding the good sales jobs? I live in a metro area with over a million people, but local job boards keep showing 100% commission, insurance, or D2D. How do I tap into the higher-paying tech, medical, or construction sales markets?
Stay in an IC role? Or jump to people management? Goal is to make as much as possible while also being valuable in the market. I feel like the managerial path tends to devalue ones experience as they become less technical over time. Are those feelings valid?
Not in the US
Ask them to take some time to study for the test. 😂
No, we don’t.
Not that I know of.
