I made a career decision out of fear, and I regret it every single day. I recently turned down an offer that paid ₹4.5 lakh more because I kept thinking, “What if something goes wrong? What if I don’t get a project after joining?” Believing it was the safer option, I chose the lower-paying offer. Now I’m regretting that decision. Has anyone else declined a better offer because of uncertainty? If yes, how did you deal with the regret? I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience.
I joined a new team (all are telugu people) and I am from Odisha. They are on their own zone, don’t even consider me as their colleague when they go out for lunch/sports or any other activity. Such discrimination shouldn’t exist

This may be controversial, but I’ve seen cases where Indian leadership at the top can harm a healthy work environment through micromanagement, unrealistic expectations, and poor work-life balance, pushing teams beyond their roles while cutting costs. After our UK management handed control to a new director in India, the team has increasingly been made to feel like underperformers despite consistent effort. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this!
What role? I've heard it takes about 3 weeks for most roles. Unsure of the background verification.
For software developer role
Background check took about two weeks for me. I think that's fairly standard.
