After I completed the paper-work with the HR staff, I directly dealt with the Chief Medical Officer of the time. I was given a redacted medical record and asked to write a report of my findings. It was a complicated case and I had to spend about 6 to 7 hours of research. After two weeks of my submission of my report, I attended the actual interview with the CMO. He was surprisingly very knowledgeable in my medical specialty as well and asked direct questions regarding my analysis, reasoning and references. This interview felt like I was defending my dissertation and I was grilled on my mistakes. However, I was able to do well with my extensive background and knowledge and offered a job.
