I described my methodology for a project in a prior role entailing retail site selection optimization. In advance of the interview I also vibe-coded a portfolio project with the tech stack listed in the job description. I used public AirBnB data and cited a Medium article describing AirBnB's search engine ranking strategy. I explained this strategy in non-technical terms to the recruiter and shared the GitHub repo URL of the project in the cover letter.
