I went through a multi-stage interview process, including two in-person meetings. I then had a follow-up call with the hiring manager where he walked me though my salary and commission structure. I received two separate, written confirmation stating that they would send over an offer (one from the hiring manager, one from the Director of Talent Acquisition). Over the next two weeks, they reiterated several times that an offer was on its way. After two weeks, I called their HR Department. I was told that the Head of HR felt that the hiring manager jumped the gun by extending an offer without setting up an initial interview with her. I had the opportunity to speak with her, and she talked negatively about the hiring manager and berated me for trying to bypass the process (?). She clearly had a personal vendetta, and this lack of professionalism made me walk away from this company.
