As long as you remain humble they will get humble and if I get overwhelmed I usually try to take a deep breath release and go back at it

Sometimes you have to let the patient vent, apologize then offer to see how YOU can help them!! Just be sure you keep yourself calm and they will calm down with you. The overwhelming situation will become calm. It's hard but in the long run you may not feel so overwhelmed.
