I don't. Personally, my approach is to first assess the challenges my customer faces. What are their needs, where are their areas for growth and ultimately, what keeps them up at night. Beyond that, what is it that they do well or believe they are strong at? There is a tremendous amount of gold in understanding the above. Now, if there is a way that I can help them grow faster, eliminate trouble, or achieve what they want to achieve with the solutions I represent, I present them with my recommendations and move forward from there.
