The company sells tires for agricultural, commercial, and industrial vehicles, as well as everyday cars and trucks, from more than 180 locations in 18 states across the country. Brands include Bridgestone, Goodrich, Goodyear, and Michelin. Pomp's Tire Service also offers roadside assistance and retread services, and it has extensive contracts with the US Army for vehicle parts. Originally called Pomprowitz Tire Co., the company was founded in 1939 by Andrew "Sparky" Pomprowitz. It is owned by the family of Roger Wochinske, who bought the firm in 1964.
