Mission To reimagine customer experiences for enterprises in complex markets: uniting connectivity, AI and human expertise on one platform, so every interaction feels seamless, secure and built on real context.
Description Toku is an AI-powered customer experience platform built for the world's most complex markets. We help enterprises deliver interactions that are smart, seamless and secure across voice, chat, email and digital channels, all while meeting the regulatory, linguistic and infrastructure demands that global platforms were never designed to handle.
Our story began in Singapore in December 2017. Our founder and CEO, Thomas Laboulle, had spent years working alongside multinational enterprises across Asia, and he kept meeting the same challenge: how do you deliver consistent, compliant customer experiences when you operate across markets with different languages, regulations and infrastructure realities? The global platforms were not designed for that complexity, so we set out to build one that was.
Instead of starting with software alone, we developed our own connectivity backbone first, the telecommunications layer that still sets us apart today. From there we added communication APIs, developer tools, end-to-end engagement solutions and proprietary conversational AI. The result is our 360° CX Platform: a single, cloud-native system that unites connectivity, customer engagement and AI, with in-country data processing options that give enterprises genuine control over data sovereignty and compliance.
We have come a long way since those early days. We won our first marquee enterprise customers and expanded across Asia Pacific, strengthened our professional services through the acquisition of Activeo, launched our proprietary Core AI Suite, and carried the platform into Latin America, the Middle East and Europe. Today we serve customers across more than 30 countries, and in January 2026 we were admitted to the Catalist board of the Singapore Exchange (SGX Catalist: TKU), a defining milestone in our journey from a Singapore-founded start-up into a publicly listed platform company.
Our customers are enterprises with a clear responsibility: to serve their own customers brilliantly. They include government agencies supporting citizens, financial institutions helping families manage their money, and digital-native businesses such as food delivery and on-demand services operating at scale across borders. What they do not want is to spend their days navigating telecommunications rules in dozens of countries, or tuning systems to recognise countless language variations. That is where we come in. We absorb the complexity, so our customers can focus on what matters most.
So what is it like to work here? We call ourselves pragmatic dreamers: ambitious in what we believe is possible, and disciplined in how we get there. That spirit runs through everything. We take ownership of outcomes rather than activities, we value smart work over long hours, and we hold ourselves to the highest standards of integrity. We are obsessed with customer value, we make bold decisions with conviction, and we believe that diversity of thought and background makes us stronger. Above all, we never stop searching for better ways to work.
We are a genuinely global team, and we are at an exciting stage of our growth. The customer experience industry is going through a fundamental shift, away from simply being available everywhere and towards understanding context: not only what a customer is asking, but why. We are building the platform for that future, in regions that are expanding faster than anywhere else in the world.
If you want a place where your work has real impact, where complexity is treated as an opportunity rather than an obstacle, and where ambition is matched by discipline and care, we would love to hear from you.
