Founded in 1989 by Andrew Young (chairman), David Cote (CEO), and Matthew Hornbeck (president), Young Minds makes hardware and software for storing and accessing high-volume data on CDs via computer workstations and networks. The company's products are geared for UNIX-, Windows NT-, and Linux-run systems. Its CD Studio product line enables a user to record CDs on a desktop or across networks. Young Minds also offers DVD Studio for recording DVDs, label printers, and recording automation software. Its customers include Honeywell, IBM, NASA Ames Research Center, and the University of Texas.
