Pros

Some of DC’s greatest minds created a conservative research firm that is unrivaled by any other research firm (on either side of the aisle). The ability to work with and learn from experienced veterans is more beneficial than a semester in college. If you REALLY want to win (including but not limited to pronouncing names) America Rising is a great company to work for. If you are particularly interested in political communications, AR field staffers are equipped to run their own comms operation with the skills that they learn in the lion’s den. The compensation (for entry level employees) is decent, but is made up for with the medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance (no payroll deduction), flexible time off policy, and generous bonuses. Flexible time off policy. No, seriously! And bonus.

Cons

You work long hours and have an irregular work schedule (but it is on you too find a good work life balance).

Pros

Don't always have to travel and you get some down time throughout the week. Got a bonus at the end of the cycle

Cons

Very difficult environment when you are videoing candidates because their staffers block your view and some may even harass you. Also, you get laid off at the end of the midterm cycle.
