Pros

The people at Place are upbeat, hardworking, and really care about their product. I enjoyed working with each and every team member. The CEO, Scott Harrison, has an amazing vision for the future of Place, and I wish nothing but success for the whole company.

Cons

Not many cons to speak of, although they are currently switching offices, which can be a little hectic.

Pros

- Great talent ensures we hit the ground running on most projects - Happy hours for team building - Fair compensation - Spacious office - Catered lunch If you're an aggressive worker who is not afraid to take the lead on your projects. This is a great place. Everyone keeps to themselves for the most part unless it's a collaborative project. Not to let that mislead you, there are often NERF gun wars that may pop out of nowhere. This is also a great chance to let you know, management definitely provides you with the opportunity to speak up about projects. It's an open floor many choose not to tread on, but this practice often clears up any confusion on vision for certain projects.

Cons

- Since it is a small company, everyone's plate is full (plus an extra serving waiting for them); It's a bit difficult to solicit feedback at times

Pros

Backplane is a rad idea. The company is trying to empower brands to have more control and more conversation with their audience. This is a great alternative to other social media products. The team has been relentless on working on it and are all nice people. I had a blast working with everyone there. The CEO closed a ton of tops brands.

Cons

The cons for Backplane are the same as the cons for all social media companies which is that it's a tough space. It's tough to break into the mainstream on any startup. Backplane's challenges then are not unique from my experience, just it's a hard space.
