NEPOTISM as I've never seen before. Manager privileges his girlfriend, friends, buddies who get promoted even though they don't have the ability or experience to have higher positions. German people (friends of bakery manager) hold all good positions whereas foreign workers (some very talented and with experience) get stuck in lower positions, until they quit. This was the only job I had in Berlin, where I felt our nationality really matters. You'll never grow in this company by your own merit. They prefer giving away thousands of euros monthly to random charities in order to build a good imagine and as a marketing strategy, however lots of staff receive only minimum wage and can barely make ends meet.
