Pros

I loved this job even though I was only there 6 weeks. I was just asked to be tested for hire on when I had to quit because I was showing signs of carpel tunnel syndrome and I will not do surgery! I miss it all the time. I worked weekend 12 hour shifts 3 days a week so I am basing my experience on this shift. FRIENDLY PEOPLE! Great shift to work on. Caring staff, nice workers that would go out of their way to help you even though it cut down on their production time. GREAT work out! I was getting in good shape but it was nothing too hard for this 51 year old woman. Some days were good and flew by then some days it would seem like everything would go wrong and you would want to walk out the door but it was like that for everybody and even in life it gets like that. Also they promote within the company so hard work can pay off. Like I said I would go back in a heart beat but my health does come first.

Cons

Some of the older scanners could get frustrating. There is sooooo much to learn that everyday you are going to be learning new things and that can get you upset if you let it. DRAMA....stay away from it. Did not have it much on weekends but heard other shifts were not as great as weekend days! Some days go bad but it is life not the job and you just got to ride with it and know it will get better..or worse, lol. Start out pay is only $10 BUT after you get hired on it goes to $12 and then you have bonuses for attendance and production that you can work on to get extra.

Pros

Easy position. Easy to get lost as a cog in the machine.

Cons

It can be very toxic and isolating. Your site is basically a micro-culture of DHL as a whole. And if your GM or Supervisor doesn’t like you very much, there’s not a lot you can do about the toxic behavior.
