Pros

- You can start as a concierge with little/no experience - Coworkers are cool/fun to be around - Grown skillset with hands on experience and the people around are quite knowledgeable - Good to get your foot in the door and experience to build a resume - Upper management are pretty nice and cool too. They will greet you every morning or talk with you if you need it

Cons

- At first I wouldn’t say this is a con but more so a “trade off”. The pay is not the best. If you come in as a concierge you are paid $15/hr. A barista makes more than you. BUT you are coming in with little to no experience. Most other tech companies won’t look at you unless you have at least a basic cert or a couple years experience. - Moving up into another roll is… odd. From concierge to engineer you are put in this weird 2-3 month holding period where you still get paid $15/hr but do the work of an engineer. (Though, they do this because they don’t want to have someone go into their new role and hate it and then they have to revert everything. When you are new you really don’t have an idea of what you want for the most part. I can see both sides) - I’ve seen engineers get paid about 20k below the average - Office politics are quite toxic, but you can avoid it mostly if you just keep your head down and work
