Pros

I really loved the team and learned a huge amount from the department head — genuinely strong leadership and mentorship. The team culture was supportive and collaborative, and the office meet-ups were always enjoyable and well run. It’s a place where you can grow quickly and feel part of something.

Cons

The role was advertised and hired under a “work your way” model, but this quickly changed to a forced 3 day office requirement. This lack of flexibility was disappointing and ultimately the only reason I chose to leave, as it didn’t align with what was originally agreed.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience and for the kind words about the team and leadership. We’re glad you felt supported and were able to grow here. We do want to clarify one point for anyone reading: our current hybrid approach asks fulltime colleagues to spend two days a week in the office (roughly 40% across a month), not three. Teams set anchor days to make in person time useful, and we keep flexibility for life’s realities and business needs. We also offer a “work from anywhere” benefit that allows colleagues to spend up to two weeks a year working from a location of their choice, with manager approval. We appreciate the feedback about clarity and will keep improving how we communicate changes to our model. Thank you again for calling out our culture as a real strength - it’s something we’re proud of and continue to invest in. Lisa Chief People Officer

Pros

Supportive colleagues at team level who are doing their best in a high-pressure environment.

Cons

Delivery timelines are frequently set without meaningful technical input, with the primary driver being the need to demonstrate progress to stakeholders. This creates ongoing pressure to release work before it’s ready, resulting in rushed launches, avoidable rework, and increasing stress for delivery teams. There appears to be a growing focus on short-term, visible delivery over long-term sustainability, which can make priorities feel reactive rather than strategic. Management decisions in this area can feel disconnected from implementation realities, particularly during periods of external pressure. If you’re looking for an environment where delivery expectations are shaped collaboratively and timelines reflect implementation complexity, you may find this challenging.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear you’ve experienced supportive colleagues - strong, collaborative teams are something we value really highly. We recognise that we operate a fastmoving environment where external factors and stakeholder expectations play a role. Our intention is always for delivery plans to be shaped collaboratively, with appropriate technical input and a clear focus on quality, sustainability and longterm value. We’re actively improving delivery visibility and milestone tracking so that timelines are shaped through better insight, earlier technical input and a clearer understanding of complexity. Balancing pace with practicality is an ongoing challenge, particularly in a highly visible environment, but feedback like this is important in helping us improve how we plan, communicate and deliver over the long term. If you have questions or concerns about timelines, priorities or pressure, we actively encourage you to raise this with your manager, me or your People Partner so we can discuss and address them early. Pros

Some great people to work with Use of newer technologies ( though reserved for only a small team )

Cons

Completely different experience depending on your team and manager. Constant restructuring that lacks any real thought put into it. Redundancies happening often and without warning. Top talent being managed out or given no work to do and end up leaving. Feedback Completely disregarded. Not inclusive of disabilities, all talk and no action. Execs say one thing and your manager will say another. It feels like the future is very bleak at Mony Group and most people working there are now miserable thanks to the latest round of changes. There's no future here unless you want to be made redundant.

Thank you for your feedback, although I'm sorry to hear that this was your impression - it's not the experience we strive for. We take employee feedback seriously and are continuously reviewing with our Engineering Managers and Heads of Tech to ensure teams feel heard. Our engagement scores remain high. In terms of AI, our intention is to support teams, not replace thinking or good engineering judgement. We now have these tools in the hands of all colleagues are committed to support everyone with learning and the new ways of working that they bring.
