Pros
good benefits, IPERS, not much else
Cons
They will lie to you in your interview about when you will be working . I was told I would work "some" Saturdays. My second day, it was revised to every Saturday. It is not what I signed up for. It happened to 4 other employees that I know of. I came into the job with 5+ years experience. While there, another person with 0 experience was hired at the same rate as me. I had certifications beyond what was required for the job, to where I did not need to go through training for some of them. This other employee had none of these, and was sent to multiple trainings. I was given job duties that were management's responsibilities without any change to compensation. They will promise you upward mobility and chances for promotion. Don't hold your breathe. They do not promote from within, they get you in a position and then keep you there because they can't find anyone else to do a crap job for so little pay. If you aren't already a union member, you will never get a union position there. They will add job duties onto your role with no additional compensation, almost monthly. The upper management has all these grand plans for change, but no idea how the application of these plans will actually go over. Be prepare to be micromanaged and overworked for the bare minimum compensation.
