I interned for Monika the summer going into my Junior year of college. At that age, I was not too sure what I wanted to do yet but really liked connecting with people and being exposed to various backgrounds because of my diverse education. This internship was perfect for that! Monika took me under her wings and introduced me to so many people from a variety of industries that I still stay in touch with years later. She always has a smart and ambitious team that makes the working environment so much fun. As a boss, Monika has the perfect balance of showing you her ways and allowing you to develop and grow on your own as well. I especially liked how no two days of my internship were the same. We always had a schedule and basic agenda to follow but often great spur of the moment opportunities surfaced. Monika has mastered this stress-less flexibility -- which is crucial in the constantly changing world of PR. If you are looking for a firm that embodies an encouraging team environment, I definitely recommend applying. The team itself is not too big but their impact in the Chicago PR world is massive so you will learn a bunch!

If you are looking for experience outside of Chicago, you may want to look elsewhere because this is pretty Chicago focused. This was not a problem for me because I was looking to learn the ins-and-outs of the PR industry and love Chicago. I just cannot think of any other con...
