Pros

The work culture is the best I've ever worked in. One of the company's values is "Make Magic" and that is aimed not only at customers but employees too. For EEs who share intent to move to a particular position/role, managers will actively recommend them for those open roles and departments prioritize hiring/promoting from within first. Teammates are always eager to help out, even though everyone has more work to do than can fit in a day. Everyone has beginners mind and is willing to take feedback, be corrected, and learn from each other. Customers are great to work with and love working with us. Working here feels like constantly being challenged in what you can accomplish and learn in an effort to provide amazing service. A fast growing startup means lots of opportunity for promotion as business needs grow.

Cons

It's a startup and things move fast. My department has gone through 5 big reorganizations since I joined 2 years ago. It's always for the better, but it means there isn't good documentation on processes and a lot of context is tribal knowledge and onboarding can feel like being thrown in the deep end. I enjoy this and feel it's a net positive, but may not be the right environment for everyone. Work is 100% remote. While we have annual in-person retreats, digital non-work events, and groups of people in cities like NYC or Seattle can meetup there are no physical office and many people do not live near other EEs. May be a con to more social people who prefer in person or hybrid work.

Pros

- Decent pay - Always remote - 28 days of PTO - Free health insurance - Yearly retreats (last year we balled out in vegas) - Free lunch once a month - Frequent promotions (at least one per year, usually quicker) - Amazing work culture. Everyone is extremely friendly and hard working. - Etc.

Cons

If you're someone that likes to fly under the radar and not do real work, you won't do too well here. That's not to say the job is extremely demanding, but it is a fast paced start up so hard work is a must. On the other hand, the meritocracy means hard work is rewarded extremely well. I've been promoted twice in about 13 months.

Pros

- All leads and managers are empathetic and are extremely supportive. These people genuinely care about me and my growth. - Yearly company retreats and monthly team lunches help me bond with the people I work with. - Company has very manageable expectations for weekly work. Expectations are not increased for a generous amount of time, allowing you to easily grow at a steady pace without excessive stress. - Never micromanaged, company trusts me to do my job and that keeps my morale and productivity high. If I ever get feedback, it's constructive. They've treated me this way since my first day. - Overall the company is anti-overtime. You are never expected to work overtime. Per quarter, I've only worked around 2-4 hours of overtime, and this was my personal choice. - The company offers lots of opportunities to grow in the company. Want to move to automation, operations, or product engineering? You're given opportunities to work towards it. - Company is very transparent with multiple "town hall" styled meetings multiple times per month with the CEO and co-founders.

Cons

- Fast paced environment can get stressful at times. Especially when you first start. - Not a full on complaint, but the PTO policy could be a bit better. It's a lot better than most tech companies in the USA, but it could see some improvements. On the bright side, you're not forced to use PTO for running errands or going to appointments during the day, you can just make up the time you were gone which is fantastic.
