Pros

The hours are nice. Claims to be one of the top 5 in Ohio.

Cons

Treated like an apprentice even with multiple years of experience, panel certifications, and NICET certifications. Provided a vehicle that reeked of cigarette smoke. No company credit card after three months, expected to purchase tools and parts then be reimbursed. Provided two uniforms and expected to purchase any additional. No cold weather gear provided. You have to attend a “boot camp” which is really a rah rah session and history of the company. Have to spend the night in a hotel and is an excuse for the trainers to drink. No onboarding or training in company policies or procedures. Expected to use and give personal cell phone number to customers.

Pros

Atleast I got paid for my hardwork

Cons

Toxic work environment, excessive office write-ups over minor issues, poor morale, inconsistent treatment between employees, and management practices that felt targeted and unprofessional. Employee concerns were not taken seriously, and advancement/licensing growth did not match what was originally promised. My experience with management was extremely disappointing. From early on, I felt singled out and repeatedly pulled into the office over minor issues that could have easily been addressed professionally in the field. Over time, the environment became increasingly hostile and uncomfortable. There was constant micromanagement, gossip, talking behind employees’ backs, and a clear lack of consistent standards between workers. I personally experienced comments and treatment that I felt were disrespectful and inappropriate, including being questioned in meetings about whether I had a learning disability, despite never giving any reason for that to be brought up. Situations like that made the workplace feel humiliating rather than supportive. I also felt racially profiled and targeted throughout my time there. After leaving, multiple technicians contacted me and stated that management had allegedly been waiting for me to make a mistake so there would be a reason to terminate me. Hearing that only reinforced the concerns I already had while employed there. Promises regarding growth, development, and licensing advancement did not match the reality of my experience. Instead of helping employees improve and succeed, management often created unnecessary pressure and tension. Morale in the workplace was poor, and the culture felt more focused on criticism and control than leadership or mentorship.

We appreciate all feedback and take employee concerns seriously. Our goal has always been to provide a structured, supportive environment focused on safety, accountability, and professional growth for every technician. When attendance or performance concerns arise, we believe the most respectful and productive approach is to address them privately in a one-on-one setting with a mentor or supervisor. These conversations are intended to provide guidance, support, and clear expectations to help employees succeed in their roles. We also understand that training and certification testing can be challenging for some individuals. In situations where employees struggle with quizzes or certification exams, we encourage them to explore available testing accommodations and support resources so they can continue progressing in their development and licensing goals. We remain committed to fostering a professional workplace where employees are treated fairly, supported in their growth, and held to consistent standards. We sincerely wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
