Pros

Opportunities to switch areas and learn in the process. Solid company. Good working conditions including gym and cantine at Central offices.

Cons

Without clear evaluation system at the moment. Redefining processes and teams after the merger with Optimus creates some confusion. No salaries upgrades for long periods

Pros

The relationship between colleagues is great, most are very friendly and helpfull. RH managed a lot of protocols, we have a 'gym' in the house. great cantine at the main building, great location. If you really want it, you will find it possible to change areas and learn more.

Cons

There are no raises.. now is spin off then is the crisis, then the get together with Optimus.. there is always a reason unfortunately. i haven't had any raise for 5 years and there has been a continuous raising amount of responsability.. there is still a vertical hierarchy which needs to be changed (but it won't happen soon) and there is no motivation for sharing ideas and having real brainstorms > that could be improved. Also the south portuguese culture rules so there is no pointing the finger at anyone.. and that sometimes harms your goals and work is not as efficient as it might be. There is no capacity planning in most areas.

Pros

Very calm environment, low rotation so you can easily find the Intel you need by older people; Inside cafeteria with great food and prices; huge open space buildings to facilitate communication between people.

Cons

No Raises in the last 4 years; no recognition for hard work and extra hours; no career opportunities; (jobs for the boys), all departments fighting against each other instead of creating synergies; old public service mentality of previous times before the split, when it was Portugal Telecom. No finance for crucial professional events, except for boys
