I've been able to reinvent myself and what I was doing at Prefect about five times now. I originally came in to build the first draft of the UI. Since then I've worked closely with folks all over the company to solve a variety of problems as they came up, basically becoming a "utility player". Sometimes I had a lot of success, and sometimes I failed miserably. The Prefect leadership have always supported me and even when a change of direction was necessary I continued to feel supported and valued. I've done sales engineering, frontend, backend, data engineering, product, data analysis, even customer success. I've learned more in my 5 years here than I have at any other time in my career, hands down. I've now come full circle and am back to engineering work. I feel more supported and appreciated than ever, even while I catch up on the new technology that's come out since the last time full-stack work was my focus. I think the company's leadership and direction are spot-on and we're set up for success in 2024 and beyond. I am so excited to see where we end up.
