The staff and location make it awsome to work.

I was lucky enough to get hired prior to coming to Canada thanks to the "Destination Canada "Job fair in Paris. I was issued a Francophone mobility visa and received a lot of help from the HR department to complete my application. You are taken care of from the moment you arrive to the moment you sadly have to leave. The orientation and training process are incredible. Everything is made so you feel confident and empowered enough to do your job to the best of your abilities. The Wick is a "Pool" of incredible talents and personalities. You have something to learn from every single person. It is a human experience in itself and it will change you more than you can ever imagine. Seeing how dedicated everyone is to do an impeccable job by exceeding guests expectations is truly inspiring. It pushes you further and further towards excellence and enables you to find yourself. After the people working there, location is definitely what makes the Wick a very special place. You will not believe your eyes when you'll see bald eagles on property, huge waves coming to crash against the windows or a pod of orcas passing by near the Pointe Restaurant (only if you get lucky!). When feeling stressed while working, you just have to look through the windows to remind yourself how unique this place is! Staff parties, lunch/diners, team buildings are awesome! What makes this place even more special is its history. Charles McDiarmid is so approachable and will share with you all the little anecdotes of his journey. Being able to connect on a professional but also personal level definitely makes a difference and grows this sense of belonging.
