Accounts Executive

Kuching

The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely statutory submissions, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The role also supports financial reporting, maintains proper documentation, and liaises with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities for audit and tax-related matters.

Responsibilities:

      • Manage and maintain full set of accounts, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and bank reconciliations.
      • Process payments and receipts accurately, ensuring timely transactions and effective cash flow management.
      • Prepare accurate and timely financial and management reports.
      • Handle monthly and year-end closing processes independently and efficiently.
      • Ensure compliance with Financial Reporting Standards and all relevant statutory requirements, including e-Invoicing, Sales and Service Tax (SST), and withholding tax regulations.
      • Coordinate audit and tax matters to ensure timely completion of audited financial statements and tax submissions.
      • Prepare cash flow projections and financial performance forecasts for income tax projections.
      • Utilize accounting software for daily operations, reporting, and record keeping.
      • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and relevant regulatory authorities as required.
      • Ensure timely payment and renewal of licences, software subscriptions and vendor registrations, with proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
      • Perform general administrative duties and ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

      • Diploma or Degree in Accounting or a related field.
      • Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
      • Proficient in handling full set of accounts and financial reporting.
      • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and accounting software.
      • Good understanding of e-Invoicing, SST and withholding tax regulations, particularly in relation to the IT industry
      • Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken); ability to communicate in Mandarin or other local dialects is an advantage.
      • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
      • Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
      • Proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong team player with leadership potential and a growth mindset.
      • Willing to be based in Kuching, Sarawak at own cost.
