What are co-workers like at ATP Flight School?

You meet great people and you feel heard majority of the time

Extremely limited options for raises. When you do get a raise, it’s less than a dollar. We are expected to be experts in all fields within the company but make the least. We also have to make phone calls to students/instructors/examiners with our own personal phones with our own phone numbers. Our phone numbers are also displayed on the directory for the company (instructors and students).This has led to being called and texted by examiners/students/instructors outside of office hours (I have been called multiple times at 3am in the morning or 11pm at night).

- CFI upon program completion (if you are liked or they are desperate) - newer aircraft - resources - constant flow of students

- You do not get paid for a lot of tasks your'e asked to do and get very little compensation for what you are paid for (flight & sim time only) - Do not follow their core values of the company! - management doesn't care about you and will tell you that youre easily replaceable if you don't do what you're supposed to - Management doesn't care about protecting the students investment - A LOT of discrimination - Upper management is very rude and disrespectful to their employees and unfortunately they only care for their reputation and overall checkride past rate for the company

Great students and coworkers. Planes are new and well maintained.

The regional managers are the absolute worst. The least considerate people I have ever met in a professional setting. They make all the instructors' and students' lives more difficult.

You get to choose your location to be a CFI regardless of availability, great bosses, good coworkers, learn new things

I wish becoming a CFI had the same culture but it was truly horrible. SSDO was awesome though.

Friendly team, co workers have your back, reasonable commission bonus structure for inside sales, gained plenty of skills.

They don't treat their contracted employees (instructors) that great, but working for the administrative side isn't bad. As with any company, politics > anything else.

Meeting great people and flying consistently. Helping students pass check rides is the best feeling. Very structured so as a new instructor you always know what to do and teach. Maintenance personnel are great, the planes always feel safe.

Long work days with very little pay. Under-appreciated by management and overworked. Only get paid for flight time and sim time so if youre at work for 12 hours but only flew/simmed 6 of those hours you will only get paid for 6. Work basically 7 days a week to meet quotas set by management. The new policies set by management counteract their own core values.

This location has a great staff who want you to succeed and you'll be able to complete your certificates relatively quickly

Extremely expensive predatory loan with a false promise of a job as a flight instructor upon program completion. I personally had a perfect record/ pass rate with great rapor at the training center (which is what you're told matters) once I finished the program I received an email a month and a half later stating they couldn't offer me a position as a flight instructor and refused to give any explanation.
