What is the hiring process like at Advertise Purple?

It is impossible to overstate the insane levels of micromanagement; it is constant and completely out of control. You will spend so much more time trying to document/prove you did your work or making changes management wants that you'll struggle to actually do your job, but even that won't be enough. Management will just make up a new step of the process or documentation requirement out of thin air the next day and ask why you didn't do it. Pay is abysmally low, particularly for metro areas in California or New York. Management will string you along, but there are no real paths or opportunities for growth. Management exists completely in a bubble. It's baffling why they even bother to send out "anonymous" surveys to employees and push for responses. It is clear they're panicking amid a decline and are just spamming anything and everything, even when it does not make sense. In terms of support from management, it's not so much "do less with more" as it is "do everything with nothing".

There is a lot to say here - is it a perfect company? No, no such company exists. But the management team here are implementing lots of different things to adapt to complicated economic situations. Overall, the goal is always the same -improve processes, give better quality service and provide opportunities for people working here. Even though I moved on, the majority of their promotions are all from internal promotions which isn't common if you've worked at any other company. The account management department have incredibly smart and hardworking people that deal with a lot. This includes the directors that are constantly trying their best to adapt to everything, coming up with new processes to make it easier for account managers.

I do think there are things that can be improved - transparency and better communication between departments for example.
