Pros
Some very intelligent and well versed staff. The CEO means well and pragmatic in his ways.
Cons
Some toxic senior management staff members. Emphasis on PR way out of proportion to the rest of the business. The most humiliating experience of my professional career. My manager resigned 2 weeks into my role; the person who hired me and was my senior left a week earlier. My onboarding for my specific position was a crash course of 1 full day where I had to come in before my employment contract commenced and then the replacement manager was far too preoccupied to fix a neglected Support department. She was soon replaced after the merger with OneFlare from a senior manager of that company, and from that day onwards I knew my days were numbered. I have not had such an incompetent conniving manager in my entire career. They were late to virtually every meeting, forgot things we had just spoken about the day before and was only motivated by asking me to update training material in preparation for my imminent replacement. Experienced with mergers they had obviously mastered the art of making someone so irrelevant that they would be the next in the chopping block. From obvious fraternisation with staff from the previous company and exclusion from meetings, projects and opportunities, it became blatantly obvious who would become the victim of the merger from finalisation of the merger. Inverse bullying by ghosting me from every possible opportunity was their game plan from day one. Perhaps the company deserves them because they really don’t care about safety or Support for that matter. This department was just an inconvenient truth they were forced to adopt but the accolades were always free flowing to those who could generate liquidity. From the day I was informed of my redundancy, my manager did not say a single word to me till I left. This company will never progress with someone like that.
